About The Author
Eric Hill
Eric Hill (1927-2014) began his artistic journey as an art studio messenger, eventually transitioning to become a cartoonist and then an art director at a prominent advertising agency. In 1978, while creating a bedtime story for his son, he conceived the character of Spot. The resounding success of his debut lift-the-flap book, Where’s Spot?, in 1980, inspired him to dedicate himself fully to writing. His Spot books have since captivated children globally. In recognition of his contributions to children’s literacy, he was awarded an OBE in 2008.
