About The Author
Andy Day
Andy Day is one of the best-known stars of preschool television. Andy is the star of multiple children’s programmes, most notably his Andy’s Adventures, which span from dinosaurs, safari, aquatic, and global, and he is excited to be currently filming brand new adventures, which are going to be dinoriffic!
Alongside this, he is also the star of Andy and the Band, which features Andy’s real-life pop band Andy and the Odd Socks, who have played hundreds of live shows and released over three albums. Andy won a BAFTA for his performance in As You Like It at Shakespeare’s Globe.
Andy is also the author of the bestselling Dino Dad young fiction series, illustrated by Steven Lenton, and his first picture book, Dylan the Dino Boy Saves Christmas, illustrated by Alex Patrick, was published in October 2025.
Alex Patrick was born in the Kentish town of Dartford in the South-East of England and has been drawing for as long as he can remember. His lifelong love for cartoons, picture books, and comics has shaped him into the passionate children’s illustrator he is today. Alex loves creating original characters; he brings an element of fun and humour to each of his illustrations and is often found laughing to himself as he draws.
