A reworking of Alan Moy's current edition of Colloquial French which aims to make a more accessible text by: 1. Simplifying the pronunciation guide 2. Cutting out the revision units and inserting more relevant exercises into the main units 3. Reducing the number of translations as the book progresses, implementing the use of the glossaries instead 4. Rewriting/adaptiong dialogues to focus more on language objectives and introduce more up-to-date, realistic language. Also making for more continuity in the storyline and character presentation. The current edition could be criticised for assuming too much and moving too quickly; these issues will be addressed to ensure that we are meeting the needs of independent learners.
