Urban Farms provides in-depth profiles of 16 innovative farms located in major metropolitan areas across the country, each operated by passionate individuals and communities committed to growing their own fruits and vegetables and raising animals. Sarah C. Rich is a writer focused on the intersection of food and design. She is cofounder of the Foodprint Project, a former senior editor at Dwell Magazine, and a board advisor to Project H Design. She lives with her husband in Oakland, California. Matthew Benson is a photographer whose work has appeared in House & Garden, the New York Times, Condé Nast Traveler, This Old House, and Saveur, among many other publications. He lives on a restored 1860s organic farm in upstate New York with his wife and children.
