What woman doesn't love an action hero? Harriet Scott, for one. Per and Harriet are descendants of Robert Falcon Scott and Roald Amundsen, the first and second men to reach the South Pole. Like Scott, Harriet is persuasive and passionate--if a little high risk. Like Amundsen, Per is cool and calculating--in a control freak sort of way. Only after overcoming her terrible fear of water by learning to swim under Per's demanding e ye can Harriet come to terms with the trauma and loss in her past. Harriet starts to appreciate that some risks are well worth taking--and that polar opposites can, in fact, attract.
