About the Author

Nora Isaacs has deep roots in the yoga community. Author of Women in Overdrive (Seal Press, 2006), she was a managing editor and senior editor at Yoga Journal, and has also written for Women's Health and the New York Times, plus dozens of blogs on such yoga-related topics as trauma recovery ('Yoga: the Cutting Edge of Trauma Treatment') and yoga in Western medicine ('Yoga Therapy: The Next Wave in Yoga'). She has written, co-written, and/or consulted on the following yoga books: Yogini: The Power of Women in Yoga (Mandala, 2006), Contact Yoga (Mandala, 2012), and The Hormone Cure (Scribner, 2013). She lives in Berkeley, CA.
