About The Author

Neil Gaiman

Neil Gaiman is a New York Times bestselling and multi-award-winning author and creator of many beloved books, graphic novels, short stories, film, television, and theatre for all ages. He is the recipient of the Newbery and Carnegie Medals, and numerous Hugo, Nebula, World Fantasy, and Will Eisner Awards. Gaiman has adapted many of his works into television series, including Good Omens (co-written with Terry Pratchett) and The Sandman. He is a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency UNHCR and Professor in the Arts at Bard College.

Kristiansen is a Danish illustrator and Eisner Award winner, known for his work on It’s A Bird…, DC/Vertigo’s House of Secrets, Red Diary/Re(a)d Diary, and Sandman Midnight Theatre. He has illustrated numerous children’s picture books with authors Oscar K, Patrick Ness, and Tina Sakura, and worked in animation as an Art Director and Concept Artist. He has also directed a 15-minute animated short film based on one of his children’s books. He greatly admires Jeff Lemire’s ability to “play in the land of comics” and considers him a true master. Mr. Oblivion is the second project they have completed together, with many more anticipated.
