About the Author

Marco Gervasi is a lawyer, strategic adviser and entrepreneur. He assists investment funds, venture capital and e-commerce businesses on their China investments. He is a keynote speaker at international conferences on technology and e-commerce. Marco is also an active technology blogger , and a guest writer for various online magazines both in Asia and Europe. Marco's career spans advisory roles both in Europe and Asia. In 2007 he founded The Red Synergy business consulting firm in Shanghai. Before founding Red Synergy, he was the Deputy Regional Partner of Dezan Shira and Associates where he co-headed the Shanghai office. Before moving to China, Marco spent four years working with the Capital Markets Team of Clifford Chance in Milan. Marco has a dual degree in Law and Chinese Studies from Università Statale of Milan and an executive degree in Exponential Technology from Singularity University in Mountain View, CA.
