Description

  1. This book is a step by step implementation of good practice, knowledge sharing and experience: The book offers guidance, ideas and pointers to the best responses to commonly asked topical questions in the NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Childcare. The suggested responses are drawn from practice in my childcare setting. The selected topics are based on real life experiences in childcare settings, study units and questions or tasks. 2. Putting yourself in the picture: You are the provider of childcare, you are the practitioner. The book uses this scenario to address most of the topics and questions, drawing from real life situations of safeguarding and caring for children. The book is written in the first person context of 'I' or in 'My', so that the upgrading or aspiring practitioner can put themselves in the context of what is happening in their own setting, in order to draw parallels and learn by inclusion and participation of shared good practice towards safeguarding, playing with and the development of children. 3. The book provides a summary set of usable policies that can be adopted by a starting practitioner. 4. The book also contains advice for practitioners to deal with bullying.5. The book offers an adaptable handbook to be used in any setting.
