He is an Executive Producer on HBO's Emmy Award-winning Game of Thrones, which is based on his A Song of Ice and Fire series. He lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Gardner Dozois was a highly acclaimed science fiction and fantasy editor and novelist who won fifteen Hugo Awards for his editorial work. He was Editor of Asimov's Science Fiction magazine and was inducted into the Science Fiction Hall of Fame in 2011. He passed away in May 2018.
