There is a rumor in the jungle, nobody knows who Cuquedo is, but everyone says he is really scary and frightens the animals who are standing in the same place. As none of them want it to frighten them, they all decide to keep moving back and forth. They only stop to warn the animals they meet, so they can join them. Hippos, zebras, elephants, giraffes, rhinos will form a hilarious herd of animals.
They could never imagine that Cuquedo, the character everyone is talking about, is a tiny and charming little monster, who is not scary at all.
When they see him for the first time, nobody imagines he could be the scary monster everyone is talking about. So when they stop to warn him that he should join the herd if he doesn’ t want to be frightened... It turns out to be the perfect occasion that Cuquedo was waiting for!!!

Clara Cunha graduated with a degree in early childhood education from the Jean Piaget Higher Education School. Author of the book Cuquedo, which has sold more than 20,000 copies. She is also the author of Cuquedo and a Scary Love. Paulo Galindro is an illustrator, muralist and architect. His illustrations from the Cuquedo collection are made by hand, on wood and with techniques such as collage.
