About the Author

Aurora Zacarias is a first generation Hispanic American. Her parents came to the United States in 1913 during the time of the Mexican Revolution. They sought refuge and a new life in American and settled in El Paso, Texas.Aurora's mother gave birth to 12 children in Texas. After a few years, her parents moved to San Antonio, Texas. Aurora and one brother were born in San Antonio. She had her first near death experience as a young child in the then raging waters of the Cameron Creek in San Antonio. Aurora remembers drawing on the power of God as this young child on the brink of death. She shouted out, "Cross, save me!" as the water carried her away from the ground.Aurora reflects on that time now and thinks of Matthew 7:7 scripture which encourages believers to ask, seek and knock and they will find what they are looking for, which for her was salvation from drowning. She remembers seeing a big, beautiful, tall Angel that rescued her from the water and put her back on high ground. This also turned into protection and abilities in many different ways later throughout her life. She is keenly aware that she has never been the same since that experience. Aurora has also written on her reflections of growing up as a first generation American in the 1940s and 1950s in South Texas, when the country was still torn apart by racism, disparity and lack of understanding or appreciation of cultural differences. Aurora experienced another near death experience because she was run over by a truck in 1952. She pleaded with God to not let her die. She felt God's intervention during that accident and survived and beat the odds of even having children, which specialists told her was impossible due to her injuries. Aurora believes in the divine power of God to heal us, protect us and guide us.Many people have touched her life throughout the years and she has experience several supernatural and spiritual phenomenon. She had mentors throughout her life that guided her and instructed her on the ways of the world that not many can see, nor do they experience. Aurora believes in the supernatural world existing alongside the physical world though many either do not believe or don't have the perceptive powers to see it. She believes in Angels and Demons, God and Satan. She helped many people throughout the years with her beliefs, abilities and gifts. She also believes in the different realms and in scientific phenomenon that cannot be explained or the scientific community rebukes. Some of what you will see in the book are Aurora's relationships and encounters with people in this are a woman that used her powers of the third eye, another woman who had an experience with an unexplainable quantum leap and many stories related to the spiritual, supernatural and the occult, to include La Santisima Muerte. She also shares some of her poetry which was shaped by perceptions, life experiences, dreams and relationships with other people, including a decorated World War II. veteran.Aurora enjoys watching old movies, old TV shows (she loves Gunsmoke!), sci-fi movies and eating home cooked meals. Part of her life's pleasure has been in talking to and listening to people sharing their own stories and experiences. She has traveled throughout the continental US and Mexico. She currently resides in San Antonio, Texas with her family.
