Guess who's coming to visit Joshua? It's Grandma—with a very special present! But what is it? ...A hat? ...A milk bowl? ...A flowerpot? ...A birdbath? No, it's a potty. How wonderful!
Dear Fellow Parents,
This DVD is the animated and expanded version of the internationally best-selling children's book Once Upon A Potty, which I wrote and illustrated when my own child was at the toilet-training stage.
This DVD is designed to help children understand and use their new potties, but it also offers grown-up discussion and the latest professional opinion and advice on toilet training. Poo-Poo and Wee-Wee, often known by other names (please use the words you consider most suitable at home) have long been something taboo. This attitude is now changing, and children and parents are all the happier for it. It is believed that a frank and open approach to all bodily functions is a good and healthy attitude.
Learning to use the potty is often a lengthy process, taxing the patience of both parent and child. When success finally comes (and it should come in its own good time, with every help we can offer but without pressure or haste), it enhances your child's confidence and pride. He has taken another step on the road of known and controlling himself. He sat on the potty as a little boy, and got up ten feet tall.
It's a small step for mankind, but a giant one for your family.
Love,
Alona Frankel .
